A cafe and restaurant in a remarkably small building that was a gatehouse to the old ship yards or at least to this part of the ship yard. It is at the land end of one of the large docks and there is an amazing view from here across the harbour that in a broad sweep takes in the Kastellet and the Langelinie Quay and then round to the north as far as Nordhavn.

A good place for a coffee or a drink or lunch or dinner, the space is tightly packed with tables but that makes it cosy on a cold rainy day and when the sun comes out then people spill out onto the board walk and landing at the back. There is also a small area of garden and, when I was last there, the lodge of a sauna but remember that you are providing the entertainment for the drinkers and diners if you leap into the harbour ... no dipping a toe and chickening out.

People do come up to the restaurant by boat but to arrive by bike or by the harbour ferry or even on the 9A bus is good too.
