Vipp launch their furniture collection at 3daysofdesign

At their showroom at Ny Østergade 34 in Copenhagen, Vipp launched a collection of furniture that has been designed in house under their chief designer Morten Bo Jensen.

The philosophy of the company is that they should have fewer but better products but here, with a Vipp kitchen, it will now be possible to furnish every room apart from the bedroom with their furniture.

The new collection has an elegant ladder-back dining chair, the Cabin Stol, in oak with either a light finish or a dark-stain. The distinct feature of the design is that diagonally opposite legs are linked by rails that cross in an X immediately under the seat rather than giving the chair a heavy enclosed frame around the seat. With spacers on the underside it means the chairs can be stacked.

There are large rectangular tables in the new collection - either 2 metres or 2.4 metres long and 95 cm wide - with steel frames and the top either in heat-pressed ceramic or herringbone-patterned oak veneer.

The Tilt chair with arms has a frame in powder-coated aluminium with padded back and seat in leather and there are two designs of sofa - the Loft sofa and the Chimney sofa - and both low but with deep seats and with almost geometric simplicity - and, if there is not yet a bed in the collection, there is a day bed and to complete the sitting area low round tables.
