A video installation by the Danish artist Jesper Just.

Ramps and walkways in scaffold lead through the galleries past a set of 8 films with three protagonists. The ramps subvert the formal space of the gallery, rising high enough to force visitors to stoop to duck underneath door lintels and the route cuts backwards and forwards and doubles under walkways so groups watching the individual films also become part of the exhibition as you see them from different angles or different levels.

Thirty objects to show trends or mark events that have had an impact on and in some ways might represent life in Denmark over the 17 years since the beginning of this century. Fifteen objects are from the collection of the museum and fifteen were selected by a committee from objects suggested by the public.

Take My Breath Away - Statens Museum for Kunst

The work of eleven artists who have produced a series of videos that will be shown in the upper gallery of the museum to explore the sense of isolation and alienation that people feel as the World changes through wars and with migration from the countryside to the city or from one country to another in pursuit of work.
