A video installation by the Danish artist Jesper Just.

Ramps and walkways in scaffold lead through the galleries past a set of 8 films with three protagonists. The ramps subvert the formal space of the gallery, rising high enough to force visitors to stoop to duck underneath door lintels and the route cuts backwards and forwards and doubles under walkways so groups watching the individual films also become part of the exhibition as you see them from different angles or different levels.

An exhibition of new work by the furniture and spatial designer Clinton Stewart that is “an exploration, and observation of the way that we embrace and create associations with images and objects that we interact with.”

This is the first exhibition on the completion of a major project to restore the entrance screen of the forecourt, relay the cobbles of the square to form a ramp rather than steps to the entrance; add five new outdoor display cases and form a new ticket entrance area and cafe in the street level of the pharmacy pavilion of the old hospital.

Through six large gallery spaces this is the first solo exhibition in Denmark to show the work of Alicja Kwade. The word ‘ousia’ is Greek and means being or essence.

One large-scale work in the first gallery, DrehMoment, with large stone spheres balanced on a frame was created in 2018 specifically for Charlottenborg.
