Paul Fischer - Copenhagen in the best possible light

The first exhibition for the Museum of Copenhagen as it reopens in its new home close to the city hall.

Paul Fischer was one of the first Danish painters to use photographs systematically for the composition of his paintings of street life and in the exhibition there are views of the city, both photographs and the luminous paintings, that record a crucial period of growth and change for Copenhagen in the decade before and the decade after 1900.

The exhibition is on the square in front of BLOX so there is free access, open and it can be seen at any time but the times given here are when BLOX itself is open if you also want to vist the Danish Architecture at the same time.
