The Danish company Menu produces a wide range of practical kitchenware and fittings for the bathroom in deceptively simple and well-proportioned designs.

Several items were designed for Menu by the Danish architectural practice called Norm. Their flask-shaped pepper and salt grinders are produced in two sizes in a number of grey and pastel shades. These grinders are made in a soft-feel plastic and are cleverly formed so that the upper and lower halves are twisted in opposite directions to grind the salt or pepper but the grinding control and the opening from the grinder are actually in the top - to resolve the problem, found in so many grinders, where salt or pepper drops down over the base and the work surface and becomes caked with damp.
