The G.A.D. workshops are on Gotland, the large Swedish island in the Baltic.

The furniture has simple lines with traditional carpentry techniques used to produce beautiful pieces in a range of timbers. Their use of high-quality and carefully-selected timber combined with precise joints, such as the hidden dovetails on the drawers, ensures that the furniture can be elegant but strong. These are quite literally signature pieces as the individual craftsmen mark and sign their work with justifiable pride.

Their benches, cupboard units, tables and chairs combine different colours and grain with a distinctive use of other materials such as brushed steel for handles and fleeces or leather for the covering of seats. It is rare today to be able to buy furniture that is not only a distinct modern interpretation of well-known forms but that also maintains the standards and the traditional techniques of the cabinet maker.
